Join the Fuels Institute for a webinar on taking advantage of the changing EV marketplace
By NACS Online // July 08, 2020
ALEXANDRIA, Va.—As the market for electric vehicles (EVs) grows, so too will the need for charging infrastructure outside of the home or office complex. Soon, EVs will represent an affordable choice for more consumers, who will begin to purchase those vehicles in greater quantities. EV drivers living in multi-unit dwellings will be frequently forced to rely on in-market charging options. To help convenience retailers prepare for this transportation shift, NACS and the Fuels Institute will host a webinar on Thursday to explore how convenience stores can take advantage of the changing marketplace.
The Fuels Institute and NACS have launched initiatives designed to help stakeholders better understand the business opportunities associated with hosting electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE). The groups have also developed resources to help those interested in hosting such equipment at their facilities to evaluate their situation and navigate the installation and operation of required equipment.
“EV Charging Infrastructure: Where Does Your Business Fit In?” will be held Thursday, July 9, at 2 p.m. ET. Join John Eichberger, executive director of the Fuels Institute, and Karl Doenges, electric vehicle charging industry liaison for NACS, who will provide an early look at what has been learned and explain how to get involved in these initiatives as the market continues to grow.
The webinar will also share insights from the recent Fuels Institute report, “Electric Vehicle Adoption: Focus on Charging,” experience with the NACS Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program, discussions with the Fuels Institute Electric Vehicle Council and market research focused on vehicle sales, fleet conversion and the growing demand for electricity in the transportation sector.
