After spending a couple of semesters in college, Mitchell Rosenau joined the Navy and credits his time in service to not only valuable discipline skills, but adopting a philosophy in life that has proven to be fruitful in both his personal and professional life.
“I have met so many amazing people while serving in the Navy and those people-skills I acquired have been so valuable,” he said. “No matter what kind of day you are having or someone else is having, treating people with kindness goes a long way. From my experience, that kindness can turn someone around and even make a positive impact on my life at that moment.”
An injury forced Rosenau to leave the military after 3½ years of service. Today, he is an Account Sales Representative at Office Depot. Through his efforts, MIRA members now have access to a discount program with Office Depot.
“We are able to provide MIRA members corporate pricing on all of their office needs. This includes everyday office supplies, cleaning supplies as well as supplies for the breakroom or waiting room like a Keurig coffee machine,” said Rosenau. “MIRA members are able to get corporate pricing, which is a major savings compared to the retail prices that they would pay somewhere else.”
The Office Depot Corporation is an American office supply holding company headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. The company has combined annual sales of approximately $11 billion and employs about 38,000 associates with businesses in the United States.
MIRA members can call the MIRA office at (248) 671-9600 to get enrolled into the discount program. Once enrolled into the system, Rosenau will call you and facilitate the easy set-up process on their app. After that, MIRA members use the app to order.
“Our goal is to make sure MIRA members have the best pricing and the best service,” said Rosenau. “We have teams working on projects for clients such as updating office furniture or technology. We have dedicated specialists to assist all our customers.”
When he is not serving MIRA members and his other clients, Rosenau is raising his 5-year-old daughter and spending time with friends and family. “I love going to concerts and listening to live music,” he said.
From his office in Texas, Rosenau connects with MIRA members as often as needed. “We are focused on making sure the client’s needs are met in a timely manner,” he noted. “We don’t want to just meet your expectations, we want to exceed them. We also partner with schools on electronic needs working with libraries, labs, and redesigning workstations. It’s a team approach.”
Reflecting on his military service, Roseau brings his best efforts to work daily. “I really do try to put my best foot forward, to treat people with kindness no matter what challenges I am facing on any particular day,” he said.
