Feed the Children Event in…

MIRA was proud to attend and serve the community during the “Feed the Children” event on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

This was a drive thru food distribution event serving 800 families in the Detroit area. Families received a 25 pound box of food, a 15 pound box of essentials, a 5 pound box of AVON product, Disney books, and additional product provided by PepsiCo, Sam’s Club, and MIRA.

MIRA donated 800 Lbs. of bananas to families in need, providing them with food. The event took place at Second Ebenezer Church (14601 Dequindre) in Detroit.

Please give thanks to volunteers and donors for their part in this event!

I still serve with MIRA on the Foundation Board, so I can bring my connections with the outside world to build a better connection with MIRA, and all of those dealings with corporate America in my time with MIRA have helped me in my role today at ACC.

The programs they have right now with the rebates and the different things you can get from many vendors help us out a lot. We’re getting rebates from Sherwood, D&B Grocers, and others; there’s quite a few companies we are getting rebates from that we never did before, and we’re dealing with them now because of the rebates.
