Change in Prepaid Sales Tax Rate December 1, 2014
Effective December 1, 2014 the new prepaid sales tax rate in Michigan for Gasoline will be 16.8 cents per gallon and 20.3 cents per gallon for Diesel. The Michigan Department of Treasury is required by law to determine the prepaid sales tax rate every month.
Be sure to check your supplier invoices and notify your accountant of this change when calculating the actual amount of sales tax liability due the state of Michigan.
