In March, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) published a revised Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form. All individuals hired for employment in the United States are required to complete the I-9 form, whether they are a U.S. citizen or not.
As of May 7th, only the new and revised I-9 form will be accepted. Employers not using the newly updated form may be subject to penalties. The changes to the Form I-9 include new fields, reformatting to reduce errors, and clearer instructions for both employees and employers. The form is available in the OSHA Compliance Store as a FREE download.
