USDA is sending notices to SNAP Retailers notifying them of a recently published request for information (RFI) on a proposal to release store level SNAP redemption data to the public. In other words, how your SNAP sales for each retailer. This is in direct response to the Argus Leader case out of South Dakota.
What do I need to do?
Nothing – because MIRA will be turning in a response to USDA opposing such a release. However, if you choose to respond and send in comments on your own, the comments will be made part of the public record and visible for all to see.
