The Ohio State Fire Marshall has begun inspecting retail gasoline facilities. According to an MIRA board member, the inspection was “very thorough.” They were required to show proof that they had successfully completed the mandatory training, had trained their Class B and C employees, and met all the requirements of the BUSTR regulations. Business owners who have failed to take the necessary training risk the possibility of losing their ability to sell gasoline until training is completed.
MIRA will be conducting additional classes. If you have not been trained, contact Vice President – Ohio Ron Milburn at (614) 496-8937, ron.milburn@gmail.com, or Vice President – Petroleum Ed Weglarz at (313) 530-8822, eweglarz@afpdonline.org.
